Greg Cooner joins Tim Shaw Insurance Group

Sept. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Tim Shaw Insurance Group welcomes Greg Cooner as its newest commercial lines producer, specializing in writing insurance for senior care facilities, marinas, and commercial boat operations.

Mr. Cooner was formerly with the nuclear program at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after a long and distinguished career in the Department of Defense, where he worked on many surface ships and submarines. His work required special knowledge of commercial ships and worldwide shipping processes, including the full spectrum of nuclear hazardous materials and ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation and Department of Energy rules and regulations.

Mr. Cooner has also been very active in the marine industry in commercial and recreational fishing and boating. He is a member of the Virginia Marine Resources Coast Watch Program and has served on the boards of Tidewater Anglers Club and the Atlantic Coastal Conservation Association in Virginia.
