Combine Florence’s hidden gems with a Tuscan painting or writing course

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 2, 2011 - Running throughout the year, the courses are led by professional artists and authors who provide plenty of one-to-one tuition and top tips. And now, guests of The Watermill can enjoy an optional three-night Florence add-on with a private guide.
Led by private tour guide Freya Middleton, an expert in art history, the enchanting city of Florence will be brought to life with a tailor-made tour for each group, taking in the city’s secret corners and hidden gems. Freya will not only provide fresh insights into the ‘must-see’ sights, but also organise entrance to free evening music concerts, help you find the best aperitivo in town and reveal beautiful private gardens that are typically off-limits to the general public.
Lead-in prices:
Guests of The Watermill can book the Florence add-on from £585 pp (based on a group of four sharing a guide and single room accommodation) which includes three nights’ B&B in a centrally-located three-star hotel, transport from/to Pisa airport to Florence, taxi transfers to the hotel, two four-hour sightseeing walking tours and a Secret Florence guidebook. The Watermill suggests the add-on takes place prior to a painting/writing course.
Courses start from £1,116 pp, and include transfers (Pisa), all tuition, seven nights’ accommodation (two sharing), pre-dinner aperitifs, all meals (including lunches and dinner with wine both at The Watermill and at charming local restaurants), local travel and a midweek sightseeing tour to either Lucca or the Cinque Terre (five villages) on the Italian Riviera.  Non-painting partners receive a £200 reduction.

Flights (Pisa) are extra and start from around £45 pp return with easyJet/Ryanair.

In 2012, 14 painting courses and three creative writing courses have been scheduled. All 2012 courses booked by 31 December 2011 will enjoy a £75 pp reduction in the price paid.
