The Vacation Channel Recieves Grant

The Vacation Channel has been award an E-Commerce Grant provided by the CIty of Hampton IDA and Hampton Department of Economic Development. The grant is inteded to stimulate revenue and job growth through web and internet based solutions.
 
Aug. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- On August 16, 2011 The Vacation Channel was awarded an E-Commerce Grant from the Hampton IDA and Hampton Department of Economic Development. The E-Commerce Grant Program was created by the Hampton IDA with the assistance of the Hampton Department of Economic Development to promote business profitability as well as increase employment opportunities through optimization of productivity, marketing, and the generation of new products . The Grant was designed to help Hampton small businesses with web development, website design, consultation services, website analytics, internet marketing services, email marketing, search engine optimization services, social media, newsletters, blogs, and other various e-commerce solutions. The e-commerce initiatives are designated to be completed by approved service providers which have displayed a vast knowledge of many of the various e-commerce resources to the Hampton IDA and Hampton Department of Economic Development.
The Vacation Channel is a small business located in Hampton which services the tourism industry of Hampton Roads, from Williamsburg to Virginia Beach, with their in-room video concierge service that is broadcast in many of the areas hotels. The grant is helping to fund a new website which will enhance The Vacation Channel’s current promotion of tourism in the region. This new site will incorporate The Vacation Channel’s high quality video work with its dedication to promote tourism in the region. “The E-Commerce Grant Committee was pleased to award a grant to [The Vacation Channel]” said E-Commerce Committee Chair, Leonard Sledge. “Our hope is that the expansion of their internet presence will generate additional revenue opportunities for the company and potentially create additional jobs in the City of Hampton.”
Ciniva Systems of Virginia Beach will be providing the work needed to complete the project and were selected because of their creative approach to a solution and their notoriety in the region as one of the premier web development agencies. The Vacation Channel is very excited to begin this new initiative and expects to have the renovated site up and running mid to late October.
