Snell & Wilmer Attorney Elected to the American Red Cross Mountain Valley Chapter Board of Directors

Aug. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- SALT LAKE CITY – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Stewart O. Peay, an associate in the firm’s Salt Lake City office, has been elected to serve on the board of directors for the Mountain Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross.

The Mountain Valley Chapter boards of directors collaborate to support fundraising, the chapter expense and revenue budgets, help develop and monitor local strategies to deliver mission-related services and work to ensure Red Cross presence and outreach within the chapter jurisdiction. Their leadership and support directly affects the ability for the Red Cross to deliver essential services.

The mission of the American Red Cross is to improve the quality of human life; to enhance self-reliance and concern for others; and to help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. It does this through services that are governed and directed by volunteers and are consistent with its congressional charter and fundamental principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, volunteer service, unity and universality.
Peay's practice is focused in general commercial litigation, construction litigation, civil RICO defense, government investigation defense and products liability defense. He is a committee member of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. He has been recognized by Mountain States Super Lawyers® as a rising star (2009-2011) and selected to the Utah Legal Elite by Utah Business magazine in 2011. Peay earned his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University and his B.S. in Economics from Brigham Young University.
