The sounds of jazz come to the south side of Atlanta this Friday and Saturday, August 5th and 6th, 2011. Transforming the Clarion Hotel (6288 Old Dixie Hwy) to a dynamic event filled with dancing and evening tunes, this event will be held at The Close Up 2Jazz Club.

Jazz is the basis for most of the popular music of today, and the Simplicity band is the perfect combination of funk, soul, and R&B Jazz. Like the tradition of innovation here in Atlanta, jazz composition and performance continue to evolve and change. During the month of August, the Close Up 2 Jazz Club & Cravings Bistro will be the place where the most diverse music lover can get satisfied.

Band members Anthony (Smitty) Smith, Micah Mabson, Maurice White & Larry McTerry song selection covers songs from prominent Jazz greats through to present day commercial music. Simplicity has a clean, tight polished sound to suit most venues.
