34 Years of Solid Sobriety from Alcoholism and Drug Addiction and 18 Years Pastor of Omega Holiness

AUSTELL, Ga. - Nov. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Celebration will start 11:30 AM Sunday Morning, December 6th, 2015.  Speaker for this morning celebration will be Doctor YaQar, CEO & Founder of Alpha & Omega HIV/AIDS Foundation and Author of the Book, The Power of Confusion.  Sunday evening speaker, December 6th, 2008, 4pm, will be the Reverend Doctor Paul M. Harvey, Dean for the Atlanta Baptist Ministers Union and Senior Pastor of the Morning Star Baptist Church SE Atlanta.  The African Drum Group known as the Sunkonscious Percussion Ensembel will add excitement to the this celebration with the African drums demonstrating the "Voice of God" expressing joy for service and thanksgiving .  Although many will share their appreciation for such a celebration, focus will be on the following.

Doctor Cobble was asked, "Why are you having a public celebration?"  Followed with another question, "Aren't such sobriety birthday celebrations suppose to be conducted in closed support meetings?"

Doctor Cobble responded:  "The reality of about 22 million, plus, alcoholics and addicts in this nation demands that recovering people share the "good news". Continuous illegal drug trafficking, especially Atlanta being the hub for illegal drug trafficking, challenge those of us who are actively participating in substance abuse recovery programs that we can share the benefits of substance abuse recovery.  Public awareness challenges local and national leaders to bring our communities out of a "state of denial".  Finally, while individual confidentially is justified for continous maturity in a recovery program, there comes a time to take a bold "forward move" to show the church's responsibility for confronting the substance abuse dilemma in this community and acroos the nation.  Many in our Atlanta Communities will receive this celebration for spreading the "Good News"!
