June 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Specifiers, end users and contractors in the food & beverage manufacturing industry looking for  hygienic and hard-wearing flooring can explore Flowcrete's specialist systems up close at the upcoming FoodPro 2011 Exhibition being staged at Sydney Convention Centre from 10 to 13 July.

Flowcrete Australasia Regional Director Sean Tinsley says, “FoodPro is the ideal platform for us to present our hygienic resin flooring solutions to operators and specifiers. This is our third time at FoodPro and each year has generated a high level of interest in our systems.” The Flowcrete stand will be constructed using sections of actual resin flooring enabling visitors to experience the seamless systems first hand.

Expected to generate significant interest is Flowfresh, a hard-wearing polyurethane concrete system and one of the toughest flooring systems available on the market. Suited for use in food & beverage manufacturing, meat and fish processing or any environment where hygiene and wear resistance are top priorities, the joint-free, slip-resistant surface is easy to clean.

High chemical resistance and the ability to withstand temperatures from -40 to +120 deg C make Flowfresh equally suitable for freezers or chiller rooms and areas requiring steam and hot water cleaning. The natural antimicrobial that is locked into the resin mix provides total protection against a range of bacteria including MRSA, EColi, SARS, and Salmonella Typhi.

For companies planning refurbishment programmes, the epoxy resin system known as Flowfast can be ready to receive traffic just two hours after application. This enables large expanses of flooring to be installed quickly, enabling environments to be transformed virtually overnight. The hard-wearing yet decorative system can be installed without having to remove the existing flooring, reducing waste and substantially minimising noise levels during the project.

A further option is Peran STB a hard-wearing, epoxy resin floor coating which offers a durable yet decorative surface. Suitable for use in a variety of commercial and industrial environments, the seamless hygienic finish is easy to clean and maintain and offers superior wear, scratch and impact resistance.

All three systems have been installed at leading facilities around the world. Selected examples include: Flowfast: IGA, Woolworths, Coles, Hell’s Kitchen, Manchester Airport, Wembley Arena, Lonza Pharmaceuticals; Flowfresh: Primo, National Foods, Goodman Fielder, Nestle, Woolworths, Coles, GE;  Peran STB: Eden Park Stadium, First Choice Liquor and Oran Park Development.
