San Diego Boca FC takes on Orange County Rival Santa Ana Winds FC this Saturday Night!

April 20, 2011 - PRLog -- April 20, 2011 – San Diego, CA – The battle between San Diego and Orange county begins this Saturday in a first-of-three Freeway Series against new rivals, the Santa Ana Winds FC (1-1-0). San Diego Boca FC (2-1-0) suffered a defeat to the Winds in the pre-season, but now both sides have experienced some hard-hitting NPSL action and are ready to lay it all out this Saturday night at 7PM in San Diego at Balboa Stadium.

San Diego Boca FC is coming off a tough last-second 2-1 loss to the SD Flash last Sunday and are determined to walk away with three points at home this Saturday. The Santa Ana Winds have split their two NPSL games with tight loss against Hollywood and a strong win over FC Hasental. Both sides have shown they can play the full 90 minutes and put up numerous scoring chances.

Travis Chesney, General Manager of San Diego Boca FC commented, “We are excited about the freeway series and the three matches against the Santa Winds this year as this will be a truly competitive series. After last week’s tough loss, we will push hard to get back on the winning side as we need to keep the pace with the division leaders. I think the guys learned a valuable lesson this past game and they are eager to get back into it.”

The game takes place at Balboa Stadium at 1405 Park Blvd near Downtown on April 23, 2011 at 7 p.m.
