Pink Martini with Colorado Symphony Concert Rescheduled

Pink Martini April 6 concert cancelled due to illness; concert re-scheduled for June 4, 2011

April 5, 2011 - PRLog -- It is with great regret that the Colorado Symphony announces the rescheduling of the Pink Martini concert with the Colorado Symphony, originally scheduled for Wednesday, April 6. Pink Martini released an official statement as follows:

"Dear friends and fans of Pink Martini and patrons of the Colorado Symphony-

We have some urgent news: our singer China Forbes has strained her voice, and medical voice specialists have advised her that to avoid permanent damage, she must not sing or even speak for the next few days. This sudden news took all of us by complete surprise.

Obviously our primary concern must be for China's health and full recovery. Thus we regret to inform you that we must postpone our performance in Denver with the Colorado Symphony originally scheduled for tomorrow, April 6.

The Colorado Symphony has been very supportive of this situation and decision, and has agreed to reschedule the performance for the evening of Saturday, June 4, 2011."

The Colorado Symphony extends get well wishes to Ms. Forbes for a full and speedy recovery, and looks forward to welcoming the full band to Boettcher Concert Hall in June.

Customer Service staff is standing by to do everything possible to serve and assist ticket holders with their options, which are as follows:

   * Tickets will automatically be valid for the June 4 performance. No action by the patron is necessary. Tickets do not need to be reissued.

   * Ticket holders also have the option to exchange their Pink Martini tickets into another Colorado Symphony concert this season, including the Masterworks and Pops series. Some exclusions apply.

The "Celebrate America" concert originally scheduled for June 3 and 4 will now only be performed on Friday, June 3. Colorado Symphony box office personnel will contact all June 4 "Celebrate America" ticket holders within the next few weeks to discuss new seating or exchange options.
