By: Brown Fitness Benbrook, TX. – March 30, 2011 - Veteran fitness trainer Erik Brown has some simple tips to jump-start your fitness program if you have fallen off your New Year’s resolution to loose weight. “The key is to prevent your fitness routine from becoming boring,” says Erik Brown of Brown Fitness in Benbrook, TX. “You can sabotage your fitness program if it becomes boring mentally or physically.” 1. Change our fitness program as much as possible. “Your body is a machine that adapts quickly and that is one of the reasons why you reach the dreaded plateau. Don’t work out on the same machines every time, “ Brown suggests. “Create muscle confusion by doing different variations of your exercises.” 2. Change the intensity of your workout. “It’ 3. Brown says, “You can work the body in many different planes of motion that you can’t get with normal machines.” Brown uses that philosophy in his Camp Kettlebell Boot Camp. He has fitness stations set up utilizing bands, kettlebells, dumbbell and stability balls. During the workout, clients stay in motion even when taking a break between stations. "I've lost count the number of times I've made New Year's resolutions to lose weight and get back in shape,” said Shelley Cooper. “Every time in the past I have fallen short of my goals due to losing interest and not knowing where to begin.
