Hans Chew's debut album 'Tennessee & Other Stories...' has received high-praise from a plethora of music blogs and rock magazines, including the revered British rock mag Uncut which awarded Hans Chew the # 3 spot on their list of the Best Americana Albums of 2010 (behind iconic rock legend Robert Plant and the pride of Athens, GA, the Drive-By Truckers). Dusted Magazine describes his music as being "steeped in a Gothic American tradition of murder ballads like 'Pretty Polly' and hung-over repentances like 'Sunday Morning Coming Down,' with an occasional detour through the back roads of classic rock." KEXP in Seattle says, "Hans captures the forgotten sounds of country — boogie, rhythm and blues, and folk — and hocks its loogie into the saloon spittoon with attitude."
