March 15, 2011 - PRLog -- A week after acquisition by YouTube, viral video powerhouse Barely Political's Key of Awesome song parody series delivers a first installment on the certain future of more awesome to come, Lauren Francesca as Lady Gaga in a "Born This Way" spoof.

When (Google owned) YouTube announced it had acquired original web video programming content powerhouse "Next News Network (NNN) one week ago, all speculation was of even greater things soon from the 3 year old Web TV video production company with over 2 billion views and 6 million subscribers, its brand strength fueled from harvesting top talents on YouTube.

Released yesterday, this first effort starts strong and builds into a steady stream of razor jabs at the original, Lauren Francesca's steamy sex appeal not only a visual delight but her dancing skills and comedic acting ability also shining  through, a hat trick triple threat.

Directed by Tom Small and written by Mark Douglas with Michael Reisman, Douglas also acts, also with strong appearances from Todd Womack and Michael Stevens. Produced by Ben Relles, this #36 in the Key of Awesome Series delivers true to form and even more, it is clear evidence of the finely tuned and tightly knit comedy, acting and production troupe this group has developed into, all to the delight of their huge fan base.

Hailed in its online description as "Gaga is bored of doing all this crazy s**t! Watch the original Born This Way music video here:" the Key of Awesome boldly even directs viewers away from their site after watching their parody version and if you take the bait as this reporter did, the immediate feeling which the Barely Political crew certainly calculated?

Parody beats reality. I went back and watched the "Bored" Gaga again. Reading fan comments, it looks like I'm not the only one. So, not only does it look like Key of Awesome has done it again, but? It also looks like YouTube and parent company Google have made a very wise purchase.
