Age is no barrier to publishing

March 3, 2011 - PRLog -- When individuals hit a specific age bracket, many think of retiring and withdrawing from life’s challenges. Not so with this amazing lady and published Author, Pamela Blake-Wilson (who is now in her late 70's)
In becoming an Author the challenge is not simply just writing a book but in finding a publisher who believes and loves what you’ve written about. Not an easy task at any age...and yet Pamela new that she wanted to make a difference, so imagine her delight when an Australian Publisher accepted her manuscripts.
Pick-a-WooWoo Publishers felt that local identity Pamela. Blake-Wilson’s style, passion, knowledge and ability to create amazing and surreal adventure stories, was worth the gamble. They consider her stories to be on par with the exuberance and magic of the Harry Potter series.
Pamela is an international facilitator of Light and Colour Workshops. She has been involved with colour therapy and spiritual psychotherapy for the past thirty years. She studied at the Centre of New Directions, Kent, England and is currently the Colour Director. Ronald Beesley (1903-1979) the founder of the centre researched Light, Colour and Sound and developed the Distant Colour Programme.
“This inspired me” she said. “I became aware of the healing vibrations of light and colour through its applications to many people with every conceivable kind of condition and problems”.
Pamela says that colour creates a response to life, to beauty, the senses and to the rhythm of life which has yet to be appreciated and understand. Colour integrates mind, body and spirit and heaven and earth. Colour teaches us to live inter-dimensionally in a more united and holistic way.
My great passion now is to write about colour for young people, not in an instructional way but in a series of adventure stories to show that the energy of light and colour affects us all in everyday life. Colour is more than we think. It is an experience.
Pamela said "I had time on my hands and the idea of writing books appealed to me, so I thought, why not...what’s stopping me".
The idea of writing books for young people appealed to her immensely. "Few people really understand the concept of Light and Colour energy; in fact most of us take it for granted as the sun shines by day and the moon and stars come out at night.  The truth is...we live in a world of energy and everything we do or say has an energetic effect. Colours of the spectrum have differing frequencies of vibration which affect everything on every level of consciousness, so if we can begin to understand how it works we can begin to apply it more in our lives".
Ms Blake Wilson recent book launch at Waterstones Tunbridge Wells in the UK for her latest book in the series - The Colour Code: The Orange Ray -  was an outstanding success. With such loyal followers everyone is waiting for the next book in the series (number 3 of 7)

Could this Author be the next big discovery in the United Kingdom?
