Dec. 30, 2010 - PRLog -- The Cereal Bowl recently opened its first all-digital restaurant at 296 George St., New Brunswick, N.J. The location is the second franchise the Miami-based company has opened and the first of several new locations scheduled to open over the next few months. Its digital signage is comprised of four indoor LCD digital menu boards and an integrated POS solution with digital customer-facing displays and remote log-in access.

The promotional content of all screens can be controlled from any computer with an Internet connection and valid credentials. Local specials, product ads and daily product changes can be easily made at the stroke of a button with no lead times or printing cost.

“We are excited about the opportunities digital signage can provide us,” said COO Michael Glassman. “With the digital boards, we now have the ability to make changes to our boards in real time with no additional cost to the store owner. We are also taking advantage of the flexibility of video and animation that brings our menu to life and promotes key products at different day-parts.”

Founded in 2004, The Cereal Bowl is a new breed of café in which guests are able to make their own cereal creations or pick from one of many unique combinations created by The Cereal Bowl Team. The restaurant offers 35 cereals, hot and cold, as well as 40-plus toppings. The menu also includes cereal bars, oatmeal smoothies (known as Oaties) and Create-A-Parfait cereal-topped desserts.
