School of Rock Band Selected To Perform At Nickelodeon’s Rock The Universe New Years Eve Party

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 18, 2010 - School of Rock has been selected to provide the live music entertainment at this year’s Family New Year’s Eve Party at Mall of America. School of Rock’s show band, Road Crew, will perform covers of rock bands from the 70’s, 80s, 90s and 2000s.  School of Rock Road Crew will play from 9:30 – 10:30 while taking a break from playing at 10pm to lead the count-down to the New Year.  

Leading up to the concert and the ball-drop, kids will enjoy many activities, thanks to the party’s sponsor, Nickelodeon.  The cable channel and sponsor of the Mall of  America’s indoor amusement park, Nickelodeon is hosting Rock the Universe, the December 31 party, between 6pm – midnight.

For tweens and teens there’s free video gaming, courtesy of Kinect, the ability to create a music video, and get a free DVD of the performance, VIP Red Carpet photo ops and a dance party right before School of Rock performs.

Activities are also planned for younger kids including appearances from Nickelodeon characters, free rock hair and airbrush tattoos.

No matter your age, you’ll want to take part in the countdown and ball drop at the Mall of America’s Kids New Years Eve Party.  The ceremonial countdown and ball-drop will be led by the School of Rock show band, Road Crew, and will happen at 10pm; hey it’s midnight somewhere in the world, right?
