Online Retailer Reports 49% Growth In Orders This Christmas

Adam Gore, MD of the Southam-based online gift retailer, says: “It’s really encouraging to see that the online retail industry’s collective efforts to restore consumer confidence are coming to fruition online. Gift-buyers are becoming not only more savvy in shopping around to find the best bargains on the web, but more creative in the gifts they are buying too. Our cheeky stocking fillers and quirky Secret Santa presents have been particularly popular this year, indicating that people haven’t lost their senses of humour despite pennies still being tight.”

Other Christmas best sellers for the retailer have been its interactive Chatimal toys and Dave the Funkey Shoulder Monkey, plus its realistic pet products, My Butterfly and FurrReal Walking Pup. www.find-me-a-gift.co.uk’s sales have been rising steeply and consistently since late October, and the company has recruited 170 temporary local staff to help meet this demand.

Adam explains that even this year’s snow fall is not so far hindering deliveries in time for Christmas, something he’s extremely thankful for. “We’re working closely with Royal Mail and Fedex to ensure people’s orders are fulfilled and delivered as soon as possible so they can make a start on all the wrapping,” he says. “Although Royal Mail can’t currently guarantee its next day delivery service, an impressive 96% of our next day deliveries are arriving the next day, and 99% are arriving within three days, with the exception of Scotland. So there’s still plenty of time to snap up a bargain online.”
