In addition, the café and chef’s table can be rented out for on-premise events, such as a private dinner for 12 or a reception with butlered hors d’oeuvres for up to 75. Chef Salvatore likes to use the term ‘hand-crafted’ The café also does a bustling retail and wholesale business. Their quiche is served at the White Dog Café, and their pies, scones and pastries can be found at the Weaver’s Way co-op and at farmer’s markets throughout the city. Everything they do is hand-made from scratch with top-quality ingredients like organic turbinado sugar, Wagyu beef and locally grown lettuces from Streamside Farms, located just 5 minutes from the café. The owners, who have contributed substantially to the development of the local community, are committed to supporting a thriving local economy and the betterment of the neighborhood. They are active in such organizations as the Horticultural Society, the Oak Lane Beautification Committee, Oak Lane Tree Tenders and many other community organizations.
