Discordian Society 3rd album under way

Nov. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Discordian Society, an Asheville, NC based band, today announced that they have begun work on their 3rd album, entitled "Awkward Dance of the Flatworm", slated for release in the summer of 2011. Speaking with bassist and front man David "Davz Not Here" Annarelli via email, Dave said of the album, "The next album 'Awkward Dance of the Flatworm' is going to be a furthering push towards the musical extremes we have been tampering with." And when I asked when we might hear some of the new music Dave said, "We have one of the new tracks up already, 'Breakfast for Dinner, Dessert, and a Midnight Snack', on our reverb nation site (link below). Our fans will probably start seeing some more live tracks of the new material pop up on the net over the next month or two, and we'll be sure to let them know when we get them up there."

Discordian Society, with its unique musical style blending jazz, progressive rock, and funk , has gained a regional recognition and following in the South East.  "The garden is starting to show fruit, now the real work begins.", replied Dave when asked about where he feels the band is going next. "It won't be long now until we become the first band to play in space!"
