The Welcome Channel Partners With The 51st Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

The Welcome Channel proudly announces partnership with the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, taking place October 28th - November 1st, 2010 in the "Yachting Capital of the World"
 
Oct. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Fort Lauderdale, Florida, lives up to its nickname as "Yachting Capital of the World", hosting the 51st Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on October 28-November 1, 2010. With more than 3 million square feet of space over five locations, the show's transportation network of bus shuttles, water taxis, and riverboats ensures attendees can easily navigate the boat show and its expansive waterways system.

Show exhibits range from yacht builders and designers to exotic cars and brokerage yachts. A wide variety of boats and sea vessels will be on display including runabouts, sportfishers, high performance boats, center consoles, cabin cruisers, flats boats, skiffs, express cruisers, sailing yachts, motor yachts, bowriders, catamarans, ski boats, jet boats, trawlers, inflatables, canoes, and extraordinary superyachts. Added attractions include The Blue Wild Dive Show, IGFA’s School of Sportfishing and Hook the Future’s Kids Fishing Clinics.  “We are looking forward to another great show and anytime we can partner up with groups like the Welcome Channel, it becomes a win win for everyone” said Steve Sheer of Show Management.

Tickets (cash only, but ATM’s are nearby) are also available from the box office at the following locations on the days of the show: Bahia Mar Yachting Center, Las Olas Marina, Las Olas Riverfront (downtown Fort. Lauderdale), Broward County Convention Center. There are no ticket sales at the Hall of Fame Marina and the Ft. Lauderdale Hilton.

In 1976, Show Management opened its doors and became the producers of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The company now produces five boat shows each year along with hundreds of special events throughout the year. Specializing in event production, Show Management has made the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show and the Palm Beach Boat Show, three of the World's largest in-water boat shows, and the St. Petersburg Boat Show and Suncoast Boat Show in Sarasota, two of the Gulf Coast's largest in-water boat shows. Currently Show Management consists of five divisions to better serve the event industry. The two divisions that manage and produce boat shows, offer floating docks and a full line of clearspan tents from 60' to 165' in width are Yachting Promotions, Inc. and Yachting Promotions Gulf, Inc.

The Show Management Convention Services division offers a full line of decorating and material handling services for consumer and trade show exhibits, including customized floor plans, booth furnishings, storage and shipping. The Show Management Concessions division manages event food, beverage, and live entertainment services. Finally, the Show Management Electric division services all of the events' electrical requirements.
