Kickoff Soiree for the 24th Annual Yacht & Brokerage Show Makes a Big Splash

Feb. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- The Welcome Channel & Sunset Harbour Yacht Club (SHYC) celebrated the launch of the 2012 Yacht & Brokerage Show with an official VIP sunset cocktail party on Wednesday, February 15th from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  More than 900 guests attended the invite-only soiree featuring an unforgettable night of luxury.  

Gracing the blue-carpet to pose for pictures were special guests including retired American Hall of Fame professional basketball player Dennis Rodman and former Cincinnati Bengals football player Ki-Jana Carter.

Sunset Harbour Yacht Club, Miami’s only five-star private yacht club, provided a beautiful waterfront backdrop for the celebration which included the 120ft. mega yacht Caprice and two 75 ft. yachts from The Advantaged which served as floating champagne lounges.  The Warren Henry Automotive Group provided “land candy” with luxury vehicles including a sneak peak of the new "Fisker Karma", an electric hybrid premium sports car.  Beautiful models adorned in captain’s hats promoted Bâoli-Vita while glow in the dark scuba divers entertained guests from inside the pool where they swam with high-performance Pegasus Thrusters strapped to their back enabling them to virtually “fly” underwater.

Passed hors d'œuvres, including tuna tartare, beef carpaccio and gazpacho shooters, were served by Bâoli-Vita and local caterer Chef Thang provided a 16 ft. long sushi buffet.  Complimentary cocktail bars were provided by Rums of Puerto Rico, SX Signature Cocktails and Stella & Gulf Liquors and Vita Coco hosted a branded Tiki-style bar where models served refreshing, coconut water beverages.  Poolside dancing was provided by Tony Wilson and the Godfather of Soul Band.
