Air New Zealand’s new marketing campaign unveiled

Air New Zealand’s new integrated campaign, ‘Forget everything you know about flying’ created by Albion, the digitally-led creative agency, launches 11 October across a multi-media platform.

Oct. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- The brand campaign will promote the airline’s innovations in seats, interiors, and service for its new B777-300s unveiled earlier this year and which will be introduced on its London-Los Angeles- Auckland flights from April 2011.  

Albion has developed the campaign around the strapline ‘Forget everything you know about flying’ which was the starting point for the airline in developing the new look flying experience.

For the past three years, a dedicated group of Air New Zealanders, with the assistance of leading industrial designers, some of the top kiwi boat builders, an international design company IDEO, seat manufacturers and aircraft manufacturers have been focused on creating a new experience that will influence cabin design for the next decade.  

The new flying experience offers a totally new premium economy seating to suit individual personality types - Inner Space for socialising or Outer Space for working or relaxing, the Economy class Skycouch which creates a flexible space, ideal for families to stretch out and relax in and enhanced beds designed to become seats (not the other way round) in Business Premier. Other innovations include fresh food cooked onboard and the ability to order snacks on demand through the touch screen in-flight entertainment system.

The Albion campaign consists of six core messages to support the new product with a wide range of executions across several platforms including digital, outdoor formats and print.  The online executions include an arcade style Personal Space Invaders game, Kiwi Font family starring mother Sky and kids Cou and Ch  special format ad on The Guardian website.

The campaign launches week of 11th October and the initial campaign will run for eight weeks.
