During the engaging workshop, a PMP-certified instructor will teach participants techniques of managing projects as endorsed by the Project Management Institute in the Fourth Edition of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide. Using team-based case study scenarios, hands-on exercises and games, participants will actively practice applying the project management process groups of Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing projects.
Participants will experience the practical applications of project management through case studies along with preparing to take the PMP Exam. The instructor will guide students through PMI’s nine Knowledge Areas, assist them in finding a personal testing strategy, and guide in developing an individual action plan leading up to the exam date.
Upon completion of the workshop, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion for the PMP Prep Express from UMSL and 35 PDUs (Professional Development Units). The certificate and PDUs, along with qualifying hours of project management experience, will enable individuals to apply for the PMP exam.
