Australia's BugGiRL Launch New Album, Dirt in the Skirt, with a National U.S. Tour

Aug. 31, 2010 - PRLog -- Australia’s penchant for churning out high-powered, gritty, blues and booze rock ‘n roll in the vein of AC/DC and Rose Tattoo has an heir apparent in BugGiRL, and the power-duo of siblings Clinno and Amber announce today the U.S. release of their new album, Dirt in the Skirt, and a U.S. tour set to kick off September 11 at the Navajo Nation Fair in Arizona.

Produced by Grammy Award-winning Sylvia Massy (the Black Crowes, R.E.M., Red Hot Chili Peppers, Slayer and Tool), the 10-tracks comprising Dirt in the Skirt are a feast of “outback blues and outlaw attitude”. Since their inception in 2007, BugGiRL have covered a distance of over 186,000 miles, playing over 280 shows to more than 200,000 fans across the globe, including California’s Ink N’ Iron Festival, Berlin’s Wacken PopKomm Showcase and have toured alongside the Damned, The Germs, The Bones, Valient Thorr, Mad Sin, The Bronx, Stiff Little Fingers, X, Danko Jones, Nick Oliveri, and Girlschool, among others. Dirt in the Skirt follows 2007’s Rock ‘n Roll Hell and 2009’s Blood, Sweat and Beers, and a slew of glowing reviews across the U.K., Europe, and Australia.
