DuraTAG Carpet for Laser Tag Playing Fields Released

Operators know the issues they face with carpet inside their laser tag arena.  Overtime it will fade, tear, ravel, bubble, or become loose leaving an unsightly look resulting in possible dangers.  “With our cut pile and loop construction, it will resist unraveling associated with other commercial carpets.  Additionally we’ve used a solution dyed yarn to give better color fastness,” said Ed Hurney – President of Astro Carpet Mills.  “We’ve also added a couple other features to this new product including a rubberized backing so moisture doesn’t pull the carpet fibers away from the backing – something that typically occurs in fog/haze environments.”

Built into the carpet is a textured pattern with raised and lowered loops to give a traction-like effect for better footing.  Operators of laser tag arenas and other attractions that use fog/haze will now have a more appropriate choice when it comes to flooring.
