The All-New 2011 Infiniti QX56 Debuts in Arizona at Infiniti of Scottsdale

April 10, 2010 - PRLog -- The Infiniti QX56 has been totally redesigned from the platform up in this 2nd generation, 2011 QX56.  Its new frame structure enhances ride comfort while reducing noise, vibration and harshness.  The new 5.6-liter V8 engine combines the responsive acceleration of Infiniti’s VVEL technology with the efficiency of Direct Injection Gasoline and 7-speed automatic transmission. With 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, the QX can handle tasks such as towing boats or trailers, while also offering excellent fuel economy.

The exterior design is dynamic, its size capable of transporting eight adults and their belongings with spacious elegance. It has a bold front chrome grille and automatic on/off bi-functional xenon headlights.

Other exterior features include LED taillights, power-folding sideview mirrors with integrated turn signals, courtesy lights and reverse tilt-down feature, running boards, integrated front and rear splash guards built into the wheel arches, roof rails, power sliding tinted glass moonroof and a power rear liftgate.

The new QX is 1.4 inches longer, 1.1 inches wider and 3.8 inches lower in height than the previous generation.

Extensive efforts were taken in the development of the QX frame and body to reduce flex, rattles and squeaks. The new platform can handle family adventures to rugged terrain without compromising its smooth ride for around-town cruising.

The interior is comfortable, with personal controls for every occupant. It holds up to 8 passengers on leather-appointed seating. The driver’s seat is 10-way power adjustable, including 2-way power lumbar support. A standard dual occupant memory system is on the driver’s seat, steering wheel and outside mirrors. The front passenger’s seat is 8-way power adjustable, including 2-way power lumbar support. Heated front seats are standard, with available climate-controlled front seats and heated second row seats. The 2011 QX offers a range of advanced technology systems including both Infiniti’s Lane Departure Warning and Lane Departure Prevention systems. They help warn drivers of a potential unintended lane departure with a visual indicator and audible buzzer. The Blind Spot Warning system lets the driver know if a car is detected in the blind spot area. Distance Control Assist intuitively prompts the driver to release the throttle and applies the brakes as needed in slowing traffic.
