Know what to look for when hiring a builder: “You need a builder who has a good character, who can communicate well, and who has at least 3 to 5 years of experience in building homes, because residential construction is much more personal and detail oriented than commercial work and someone who is familiar with the construction side of the business” says Architect Boye Akinola. Most custom homes take seven to 12 months to build.
