Follow on Google News | CC Johnson Expresses Joyful Moments in Contemporary German Art at Agora GalleryAgora gallery presents cc johnson in an exhibition of contemporary german art
By: Agora Gallery Colorful and spirited, CC Johnson paints images of joyous moments inspired by the timeless rhythms of music and nature. Her artistic approach varies between fractured, cubist-inspired tableaux and flowing, sinewy scenes that pour through the picture plane. Johnson’s painting taps into the variety of sensorial energies and human experiences. Diving into this world, we may experience the pulse of song, the aroma of spiced breezes, and the sense of time standing still for this one moment. Subjects are personalized within each work as their unique character develops, taking shape in a style bridging portraiture and complete abstraction. We find moonlit rivers and mountain villages, guitar soloists and amorous couples dancing. Each figure exudes emotion, each graceful tree and river vibrates with natural vigor. There is a literary appeal to the work; we may sense the distinctive quality of a time and place, a reminder of her background in writing and philosophy. Born in Paris, Johnson has lived in Mexico, the United States, Sweden, and presently in the rural town of Niederaula, Germany.
