North Fort Worth Automotive Repair Facility Concludes Food Drive

Feb. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Jeffrey's Automotive Repair announces the conclusion of their January Food Drive to benefit the Food Pantry at the Community Enrichment Center (CEC).  Customers and employees were encouraged to bring in a donation to the North Fort Worth auto repair shop in Watauga.  When a donation was made, customers received a coupon to help with automotive repair needs.  

Kelly Jeffrey Vaughn, Customer Relations, noted the need for community businesses to continue helping area food banks to meet the needs of families in the Northeast Tarrant County area.

"It's humbling to partner with the CEC because we know the hardships they help with every week," said Kelly.  "So many families are in need and we hope that other community businesses in our area will find ways to help the Food Pantry because the needs are great not just during the holidays, but year-round."

The CEC Food Pantry dispenses approximately 600,000 pounds of groceries annually to low income and elderly households in Northeast Tarrant County. Providing groceries to these families allows them to have funds to pay for other needs like rent, mortgage, utilities, education and medical expenses.

Jeffrey's Automotive has a history of partnering with the CEC.  Even as recent as Christmas, the employees of Jeffrey's made their own food donations in honor of Morton Jeffrey, owner of North Texas' largest independent automotive repair facility.  (see:  http://prlog.org/10458278)
