Artistsinoils.com boosts visibility of Fine Artists and Art Galleries with social media

Jan. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Since it's launch in November of 2009, AIO (Artistsinoils.com) has been assisting artists, art teachers and art gallereries around the globe to increase their online visibility at no cost.

Hundreds of artists have added links to their art gallery websites in the directory, taking advantage of the extensive (400word) freeform text description space, photo / logo picture space and freeform anchor text links provided at no charge for every directory listing. Art teachers, art clubs and galleries are also listed in the directory for free.

The sponsor of the site, when asked about the business model for Artistsinoils.com said "Our reasons for running this site are entirely altruistic. 1 - We spent a lot of time finding the free directories and wanted to share our work. 2 - We like to do what we can to support art / artists. 3 -  And the good part...we enjoy watching the new listings come on board as a kind of permanent self-propelling exhibition."

The latest promotion features for artists include syndication of new website listings when they are added at http://www.artistsinoils.com. Syndication takes the information entered once by the artist in their website listing and sends it out on the World Wide Web as an RSS news feed, "tweets" the new listing on Twitter and posts the listing on art related blogs (artistsinoils-artists-organizations.blogspot.com/ |  artistsinoils-teachers.blogspot.com/ | artistsinoils-artgalleries.blogspot.com/ | artistsinoils-artists.blogspot.com/). This has the effect of multiplying the online exposure for the artist without any extra effort, saving more time for making art, rather than promoting it.
