Baby Boomer men who made a difference in 2009 will be honored throughout 2010 by the women of Boomer Diva Nation, LLC. The men selected are the winners of a contest held by the women’s group. “We were looking for baby boomer hunks,” says Boomer Diva Nation Founder and President Beverly Mahone. According to Mahone, H.U.N.K.S. stands for: H-helpful, U-understanding, N-noble, K-kind and S-sincere. She says, “We were looking for men of distinction who possess outstanding character and integrity.”
Anyone could submit a nominee to Boomer Diva Nation, LLC during the three-month long contest, along with an explanation of why they felt their selection deserved to be honored. "Interestingly, most of the names submitted were men from the social media site, Twitter," explains Mahone.
The Top Baby Boomer men for 2010 are:
Bob Burg—Best Selling Author and Entrepreneur from Florida
Martin Diano—Entrepreneur from Arizona
Rick Finch—Musician and co-founder of K.C. & The Sunshine Band from Ohio
Nathaniel Gibbs—Computer Security Analyst from North Carolina
Pat Howlett—Entrepreneur from North Carolina
Gary Loper—Businessman from Florida
T.T. “Mitch” Mitchell—Healthcare Finance Consultant from New York
Kelvin Ringold, Sr.—Businessman from New York
Boomer Diva Nation plans to create a calendar with the honorees photos as a fundraising project with proceeds to benefit the non profit organization Dress for Success.
Mahone says, “These are boomer men who deserve to be admired for being all-around decent guys and Boomer Diva Nation, LLC wants to honor them and let the rest of the world know how much we respect and appreciate them for who they are."
