Schlafly’s professional background includes marketing and sales, along with being the founder of an Asian advertising company. Today, as an Encore Career Coach living in the Portland, Oregon area, she says she is focused on boomers who need help figuring out how to continue to thrive and survive out in their later years. She says, “I like to give my energy to others and cause them to be motivated and inspired to take action---whatever that action may be that results in their continued successes.”
Schlafly will make her debut as a co-host and guest expert on The Boomer Beat Radio Show on Monday, March 19 and will also team up with Mahone on two other shows. Mahone says, “I’m delighted to share the microphone with Laura. She’s very passionate about helping to empower and inspire others.”
Some of the topics Schlafly will address includes what to do after retirement and how to handle mid-to-late life career transition.
The Boomer Beat airs on Mondays at 12pm EST on WCOM Radio in Carrboro, NC. People outside of the listening area can listen to the live stream at http://www.wcomfm.org
