MANILA, PHILIPPINES – McDonald’s Philippines, with services including 8McDo Delivery and McDelivery online, will be celebrating the McHappy Day (formerly known as World's Children's Day.) One of the special events this year is the McHappy Fun Run, a foot race to support various McDonald’s projects for children.
To be held on November 30, 2009 at the McKinley Road in Taguig City, this Fun Run is a fund raising activity for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and two of its programs, Bright Minds Read (BMR) and Bahay Bulilit, a program for building day care centers. This Fun Run is open for adults and children. Along with the 350 pesos registration fee are the official McHappy Day race bib, route map and meal stub. Registration is from November 3 to 25, 2009.
There are three races scheduled on November 30: the 3K, 5K and 10K races. Each race level will have first, second and third place – both in male and female categories. All in all there will be 18 awards to be given.
This event is one of the many initiatives of McDonald’s to support different children’s causes.
