Nov 07, 2009 – Swish hoops! the premier basketball program at the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center, located on the Sanford L. Ziff Campus, 18900 NE 25th Ave., North Miami Beach, is launching a new Adult Basketball League on December 1, 2009. This will be the 16th Adult League for the Swish Hoops! Program and expects registration to fill in record time. Forty spots are available and going quickly.
Tournaments encompassing 4 categories will be divided by skill level and age. Players will receive jersey and winners will be awarded with trophies. Basketball Director Federico Brodsky explains “From these leagues, players have been, and continue to be scouted by major Basketball franchises. There are many cases where players have even participated on teams here in the U.S. and overseas, after being spotted by recruiters who come to watch our games.” Additionally, Brodsky continues “Many of our players are here for recreational purposes only, and I am glad we are able to offer all levels of participation and competition.”
Games will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (between 7-10 pm). Registration is open for full teams, and participants must be at least 18 years old.
