Sept. 8, 2009 - PRLog -- Rand Darrow, artist, doesn't read music, but he has created an opera based on the folklore of Novgorod.  Baba Yaga, among other characters, is represented in his artwork influenced by Chagall.  The collection is on exhibit at All Things Art, 65 S. Main Street, Canandaigua for the month of September.
Also, in the month, Darrow will conduct a workshop for families on creating a Baba Yaga on Thursday, September 17th at 7 pm.  Admission is a donation at the door.  On Thursday, September 24th at 7pm, he will play on his electric piano the "Songs of the Paintings."  The performance is free and begins at 7pm.  It is an enchanting show and should not be missed.
