IAOP Launches Tool to Measure Health of Outsourcing Relationships

New Value Check Health Survey Helps Companies Get More Value from Outsourcing

Aug. 20, 2009 - PRLog -- POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) today introduced a new diagnostic tool for companies to increase the value of their outsourcing relationships by measuring their state of health.

The new Value Health Check Survey (VHCS) provides outsourcing customers and providers with critical information on their existing contracts and relationships to identify opportunities to add greater business value.

The short survey asks companies involved with outsourcing deals to prioritize statements in five areas that are key to optimizing business value in outsourcing: financial performance, service quality, capabilities, risk and compliance, and governance.

The results show companies the key drivers and trends that are influencing the value they are deriving from outsourcing, and also how their relationships compare to their peer groups.

“Like a regular medical check-up, the Value Health Check Survey provides companies with a tool to quickly review the state of their current engagements and identify opportunities to optimize the health of these relationships,” said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett. “It is important to periodically step back from the day-to-day operations and have an expert assess their condition. The insights that companies gain will be even more valuable, given today’s economic realities and the desire by all companies to get the most business value out of relationships.”

The survey is designed to take about an hour and results can be available in several weeks. It is being offered as a new service to IAOP members as a benefit or with discounts, depending on membership level, and is also available for purchase to non-members.
