July 28, 2009 - PRLog -- The much debated question of "When does a photograph become fine art?" is explored by the Portland Metro Photographic News (http://www.pmpnonline.com).  Drawing from the opinions of educators, photographers, gallery owners and industry professionals, this three-part series presents the thoughts of those who consider this question on a daily basis.

More than 100 responses were collected from various photographic discussion groups on the largest professional business network, LinkedIn.  In addition, articles by Professor Craig Stevens of the Savannah College of Art and Design and online gallery owner Andrew Coppin of Ph.Art Gallery adds an educators and commercial gallery's perspective.

These well-considered responses to the Portland Metro Photographic News' survey provides guidance to those seeking to enter the fine art photography market.  The results also provide lovers of the photographic art with a great deal of fuel to feed this ever-important photographic conversation.
