Randy and Donny Vaughn, The Marketing Twins at 1429 Creative, based in North Fort Worth, announce that they will spend some of their personal vacation time this summer in helping a Fort Worth based non-profit organization and in returning to the continent of Africa.  This is part of their "Greater Things" Initiative, the charitable giving and stewardship philosophy of The Marketing Twins.

Donny Vaughn, Solutions Director, is spending this week as a camp counselor for Royal Family Kids Camp, a ministry of Our Father's Children, based in North Richland Hills.  Donny has spent many years of involvement as a counselor at this camp designed to help kids who come from abused and neglected environments.

“Royal Family is a camp that I simply wish did not have to exist," said Donny.  "Kids who have been abandoned, abused or neglected come for a week and, thankfully, become part of a new “family” – one based on love.  Being a counselor at this camp is not easy given what many of the kids have gone through, but it’s a considerable blessing to me and my family."

The actual location for the camp is not released to the public to protect the privacy of the camp participants.

Randy Vaughn, Creative Director, will spend two weeks in July returning to Benin, West Africa where he once served as a church-planting and leadership training missionary.

"It's necessary to go back and not just check on our work, but to visit friends who I haven't seen in a long time," Randy acknowledged.  "Even though the economy might tell us to stay home and focus on our business, Donny and I believe in giving back.  We trust that not only does God provide for us in our absence, but our clients support the work we do as well."

In addition, Randy has a personal interest in going back to Benin.  There, he will have the opportunity to visit the birth father of Randy's adopted daughter, Lael.   "It is healthy for Lael and our other 3 kids if we continue to have communication with her birth-father, even when he's on another continent.  She needs to know her family's rich history, both her biological family as well as her adoptive family here in Texas."
