In this economy, jobs are scarce, paychecks are smaller and investments aren't returning. This has many women rethinking fashion, and coming up with new ways to stay stylish. That’s why Cincy Chic (www.cincychic.com)
The event will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2009 from 2-7 p.m. at the West Chester Convention Center, located on Princeton Glendale Road. Attendees are encouraged to bring clothing for a “clothing swap” to trade unwanted but still fashionable items for new items to refresh their wardrobe. This event features several unique fashion vendors with deeply discounted prices as well as two fashion shows that will include on-the-fly style advice from a professional stylist using items from the clothing swap.
Donations taken at the door, raffle prizes and other proceeds will benefit the Conductive Learning Center of Greater Cincinnati, a local facility founded by Donna Spiegel, Owner of The Snooty Fox, to help children like her 4-year-old grandson who has cerebral palsy.
"We are happy to partner with Cincy Chic for the Recessionista Shop ‘n’ Swap,” says Spiegel. “We feel that it will be a great opportunity to work with local women and put a positive spin on this recession, all while benefiting The Conductive Learning Center of Cincinnati.”
Representatives from Snooty Fox will be at the event accessing the value of clothing items and handing out “swap money” based on the value of the clothing. The swap money can then be used to purchase any of the swapped items. Attendees will also have the opportunity to win cash, prizes and view the fashion shows at 4pm and 6pm.
