Quackenworth, the Los Angeles based educational media company, will participate in the city of Los Angeles annual African-American Heritage Month Creative Writing Competition. The event will take place on February 24, 2009 at the New LATC from 9 am to 12pm. Distinguished panelist will include Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Master of Ceremony Norm Nixon, educational leaders from civic and community organizations, and more. In addition to participating on the writing panel, Quackenworth CEO/ President, David Hollaway will read a selection from one of his books. The goal of the event is to increase awareness of African-American contributions in the United States while promoting literacy through creative writing.
