Quackenworth, the Los Angeles-based educational media company, will showcase MyWritingWizard.com at the 37th Annual National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE) Conference. MyWritingWizard.com, in development for the past three years, is a website that helps students become better, more proficient writers. The site features journal writing, essays, book reports, science writing, and current events. “This website will revolutionize the way students write in schools and at home. It combines traditional writing conventions (like the Writing Process) with the latest technological capabilities such a sharing and video. Our research has found that 94% of reluctant writers preferred to write using mywritingwizard.com rather than traditional pen and paper. And, because it is a web-based system it reduces the use of paper to almost zero thus keeping in line with current green initiatives,”
The NABSE conference will take place November 18-22nd and is expected to attract over 4,000 attendees including, superintendents, principals, school board members, deans, professors, education department heads, teachers and parents. Keynote speakers will include U.S. Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan and Founder and President of the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, Reverend Jesse L. Jackson. The goal of the event is to improve the educational experience and accomplishments for African American youth through the development and use of instructional methods that increase levels of inspiration, attendance and overall achievement.
