Enigma Games, an independent game publisher founded in 2000, has enjoyed 18 consecutive months of increasing game sales, but recently saw sales spike by 230% since August of 2008. This came shortly after Xavier partnered with Australian-based company, Sprite Attack, to produce a new lineup of games aimed at increasing revenue quickly. Boasting games that are among the top 10 sellers in strategy and sports categories for Blackberry, Enigma Games leveraged their customer feedback and current game ideas to adjust with the faltering world economy.
Enigma Games and Sprite Attack turned to the social networking giants Myspace and Facebook. After four intense months of development, Wargods Online was released and quickly accelerated up to 5,000 accounts within the first 10 hours. Wargods Online, the first in-depth role playing game available on the social networks, sits in the top 20 in recent popularity. In addition to glowing reviews from its players, fan sites have already begun being built as competitive players jockey for top honors.
Under the pressure and uncertainty of this recession, Enigma Games prospers. Through determination, versatility, and a little luck, Xavier has his company clicking on all cylinders. "Since the age of 8, I have always wanted to make games for a living. Once the safety net is taken away, you find out who you really are. This is who I am."
