Shaw Hospitality Group Carpet Highlights Party during LA’s Biggest Night

Oct. 30, 2008 - PRLog -- Two Shaw Hospitality Group patterns from the new angela adams Garden Collection turned the red carpet green during the Belvedere HBO Emmy Party Sunday, Sept. 21, in Los Angeles, Calif.
The garden-inspired patterns were chosen by celebrity event planner and designer Billy Butchkavitz to enhance the theme of the annual Emmy after party. Butchkavitz was inspired by famed 20th century architect Oscar Niemeyer’s master planned capital of Brazil, Brasilia. Niemeyer’s late 1950s and 1960s Brazilian architecture marked great creativity and modern symbolism – the same elements that transformed LA’s Pacific Design Center during one of the biggest nights in Hollywood.
Butchkavitz brought inspirational Argentine textiles to May’s HD Expo in Las Vegas to find coordinating carpet and other accessories for the Emmy party. He was drawn to the angela adams Garden Collection carpets at the Shaw Hospitality Group booth.
“The carpets were fresh, vibrant and current yet reflective of the 1960s style of Oscar Niemeyer’s architectural designs in Brasilia,” Butchkavitz said. “I personalized the carpet with colors that perked up the patterns based on the party theme, and the carpet added a very hot design element that set the stage for the party.”
The angela adams collaboration brings the luxury lifestyle designer’s timeless landscapes from land and sea to hospitality carpet designs. While Ocean is shown in shades of blues, and Garden is shown in varying shades of greens and neutrals, designers can choose from an extensive color palette to personalize patterns.

Butchkavitz first began planning and designing celebrity events in Hawaii in the 1980s before moving to California where he has overseen everything from Beverly Hills socialite birthday parties to the biggest Hollywood celebrity bashes. He has planned star-studded HBO events since 1994.
