Bellevue Pharmacy Sponsors Friends for Life Music Festival

Oct. 6, 2008 - PRLog -- St. Louis, MO—Bellevue Pharmacy announces its official sponsorship of the 7th Annual Dr. Matt German’s Friends for Life Music Festival.  The music festival takes place on Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 8 PM – 11 PM at F15teen on 1900 Locust Street.  The event benefits Food Outreach, the only St. Louis-area organization focused on providing nutritional support for men, women, and children living with life threatening diseases, such as HIV or cancer.  Join hundreds of guests as they enjoy live music by Javier Mendoza, DJ Bizzel, and other artists.  The music festival is expected to draw approximately 200 guests this year.  In its history this event has raised over $275,000.    

About Food Outreach
Food Outreach began in October 1988 with 7 clients in their pilot program.  Today, they serve over 1,400 clients in the St. Louis area in 137 Missouri and Illinois zip codes.  Food Outreach offers a nutritious combination of prepared meals and groceries, on-site hot lunch program, nutrition education services, and nutrition counseling.  Their programs are open to men, women, or children living with HIV/AIDS or cancer.  Food is either picked up by clients or delivered by volunteers to those unable to leave their homes.  The organization is supported largely by private donations.  Food Outreach celebrates its 20th Anniversary this year—so far, it has provided over 300,000 meals to 10,000 clients.  For more information, visit www.foodoutreach.org
