PRLog (Press Release) - Sep 03, 2008 -
In less than a year since refreshing its business model and brand name, MyWikiBiz has recently been recognized by the world's largest encyclopedia, Wikipedia, as a notable enterprise.  Yes, after a couple of fits and starts, with Wikipedia articles about MyWikiBiz being created, then deleted, then created again, a nearly definitive article about the website has passed Wikipedia's "deletion review" process and entered into the compendium of knowledge.

As the article states, "MyWikiBiz is a wiki directory that allows people and enterprises to write about themselves."  The directory currently contains over 37,000 pages of content about corporations and individuals.  With http://MyWikiBiz.com, you can quickly author your legacy on the Internet, creating a beautiful, reader-friendly page that will get picked up by Google, Yahoo!, and MSN Search engines.

Harvard Law professor Jonathan Zittrain discussed MyWikiBiz extensively in his top-selling book, "The Future of the Internet - And How to Stop It".  The book notes, "MyWikiBiz was launched to help people and companies promote themselves and shape their reputations..."

And the power of the site is starting to dawn on small business owners, too.  For example, Paul Wehage, owner of Musik Fabrik Music Publishing  says, "Finally, Wikipedia catches on to the most powerful webtool out there for professionals and small businesses!  MyWikiBiz is easily the best place on the web for professionals to post information about their companies and products, without the inherent problem of the complex Wikipedia rules about adding information related to commerce."  Like millions of other Internet business owners, Wehage is always keen to find ways to bring more traffic to his website (ClassicalMusicNow.com).  A free page hosted on MyWikiBiz.com is a great solution for him if his business is still considered "non-notable" by Wikipedia.  As Wehage notes, "Wikipedia ought to direct all deleted article authors over to MyWikiBiz!"

In the first half of 2008, MyWikiBiz doubled its monthly unique visitor rate.  Now with an article about MyWikiBiz on Wikipedia, surely more and more Internet users will be discovering what MyWikiBiz can do for them and their enterprises.

MyWikiBiz is a new directory where you can author your legacy on the Internet. We think you are notable, even if Wikipedia has rejected an article about you or your enterprise. With MyWikiBiz, get picked up by Google, Yahoo!, and MSN Search engines.
