Apr 04, 2008 – The publisher of WA Business News is launching an online jobs board specifically for employers and job seekers in Western Australia.
The new service will provide a targeted alternative to the mass market online jobs boards that currently dominate the Australian market.
The service has been developed and managed by experienced internet entrepreneur Rebecca Cole, who returned to her home town of Perth after launching three successful online jobs services in the UK, including www.canarywharfjobs.com.
The new service, at www.jobs.wabusinessnews.com.au, will be the only dedicated jobs board exclusively covering WA.
It will provide a variety of advertising options for employers and recruiters, including the ability to edit, renew and delete advertisements 24 hours a day.
Company profile pages and banner advertising will give employers the capacity to maximize their profile on the web site.
Employers will also have the ability to search the jobs board’s online database, using a number of search tools.
An added service that takes advantage of WA Business News’ existing online data base is a branded email sent to a selection of registered users.
The online jobs board adds to the range of products and services already offered by Business News Pty Ltd.
As well as its flagship weekly newspaper, which has a readership of 55,000, the company offers twice-daily email news services and runs a successful events management business.
The events business this week hosted its biggest function, a breakfast with 1,200 guests who came to hear Seven Network Ltd chairman Kerry Stokes talk for the first time about his challenge to the non-executive directors of West Australian Newspapers Holdings Ltd.
