Bishop David G. Evans
Bishop David G. Evans, pastor of the 27,000-member Bethany Baptist Church in Lindenwold, NJ and frequently seen on the Trinity Broadcast Network, Black Entertainment Television and StreamingFaith.com, gained notoriety for his best-selling book, Healed Without Scars. Just as popular was the musical component to the book, the CD, “Healed Without Scars” featuring the singles “The Harvest” and “Let It Be Me”. Now on the heels of his Billboard charting success, Evans returns with the live recording “Bishop Evans Presents The Automatic Praise”. Showcasing the Abundant Harvest Mass Choir, the recording will be held at Bethany Baptist Church (1115 Gibbsboro Road, Lindenwold, NJ) during the 8:00AM & 11:00AM services.
Gary Diggs, known for working with some of the industry’s top artists, has been tapped as producer alongside Minister of Music and gospel recording artist Lonnie Hunter. Guest artists include Earnest Pugh, GB5, Chris Harris, Puchi Colon and Sam Town from Australia. Vashawn Mitchell contributes one of his songs and Cedric Thompson has been called in as keyboardist. Derrick Hodge, bassist for renowned artist Terrance Blanchard, will be featured as well.
Diggs says, “Bishop Evans wants to move God’s people into a place of automatic praise. With everything that happens Monday through Saturday, when you get to the church on Sunday, there should well up in you an ‘automatic praise.’ God has done so much that we should walk into the doors with a ready praise.” The Sunday morning service promises to be a live worship and praise experience with contemporary gospel, Christian hip hop, Latin, praise and worship and traditional gospel music.
Formerly, Evans was active in the gospel music industry as a partner of Sweet Rain Records with an artist roster of hitmakers such as Hezekiah Walker, The Wilmington Chester Mass Choir, Bruce Parham and the Southeast Inspirational Choir.
