D’espairsRay to Release Album and Live Concert DVD in the U.S.

PR Log (Press Release) – Feb 26, 2008 – On March 18, J SHOCK DD LLC will release the first album from the new Japanese rock group the Underneath across the U.S. in conjunction with the band's appearance on the North American Rockstar Taste of Chaos (RTOC) tour.  The album, "MOON FLOWER," will be available for preorder from Jrock Revolution; preorder privileges include early release and a special bonus.

Formed by veteran members of hard rock band TRANSTIC NERVE, the Underneath brings new life to industrial metal with the depth of their musicianship, production, and compelling live performances. RTOC in spring will be the band’s first tour overseas, building on the success of an exclusive concert in Los Angeles last summer. “The Underneath played a showcase in Los Angeles last May and blew everybody away,” says Jrock Revolution and J SHOCK label executive, Jonathan Platt. “We are very excited to expose American fans to this innovative and cutting edge Jrock band as we see that they are part of the new generation of Jrock bands coming out of Japan.”

The Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour began in winter 2004 and is the brainchild of Kevin Lyman, creator of the highly successful Warped Tour. The RTOC tour features the freshest sounds in post-hardcore, rock, and metal—with many Warped Tour veterans joining this year’s tour along with new rock acts from Japan, including the Underneath. “After having a chance to be involved with introducing Dir en Grey to American audiences and working on the successful Jrock Revolution Festival with YOSHIKI last May in Los Angeles, I felt that the fans across the U.S. would really appreciate a chance to have these bands come to their cities,” says Lyman.
