Premier Club (clubprem.com) praises Aspire the spinal injuries charity

London, England -- ClubPrem.com, a travel and entertainment program offering great savings on everything from hotels to restaurants in the United Kingdom, not to mention selected countries in Europe, has issued the following commendation for Aspire

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Dec 21, 2007 – Aspire, the spinal injuries charity continues to offer the help, support, advice not to mention funding that people living with spinal difficulties need in order aspire to a more independent way of life. Premier Club (clubprem.com) is a travel, leisure shopping and entertainment discount programme that recognises the work of this charity as being paramount and praiseworthy. Although hotels, shops and restaurants up and down the country are all attempting to do their part to make their product/services more accessible to people with disabilities. Aspire is carrying out the work that needs to be done at grassroots level in order to support those living with disabilities caused by spinal cord damage.

According to Aspire’s website (www.aspire.org.uk) there are 40,000 people aged between 15 and 40 years old in the UK alone living with spinal cord injuries. Aspire could be classed as a point of reference for all of these people. Aspire does not receive any government funding therefore Premier Club (clubprem.com) is all the more in awe of the work that they do and would encourage the public to lend their support.

Premier Club (clubprem.com) recognises that Aspire works in very unique ways, one of which is the giving of grants and opposed to loans. Aspire is a charity that completely empathises with the people that it supports, understanding that patients who have been newly diagnosed with spinal cord damage may struggle to cope with the mental and physical scares and as a consequence does not toughen the blow by allowing people to go through financial hardship as well. The grants on offer can be used for to buy a new wheelchair to improve mobility.

Premier Club (clubprem.com) commends Aspire on their short term housing initiatives. The Charity offers patients short term housing solutions for anything from six to twelve months. These adapted homes are based up and down the country and offers patients with spinal cord damaged the steppingstone needed to start out on the road to independence.

Premier Club (clubprem.com) also commends Aspire’s Housing Manager as she possesses a wealth of knowledge that local authorities and occupational therapists up and down the country can draw upon when adapting a house for someone who has suffered a spinal injury. Premier Club (clubprem.com) recognises that she has a unique skill set that is invaluable to individuals who require support, local government and Aspire itself.

Premier Club (clubprem.com) notes that in order for any manager to perform to the best of his or her abilities, the support of a good team is paramount. Aspire boast a strong team of independent living officers. All of whom have suffered spinal injuries themselves and are on hand to offer guidance, support to individuals and spinal centres alike.  The knowledge they provide ranges from but is in no means limited to personal care, mobility, nutrition and benefits the government provides.
Premier Club (clubprem.com) understands that this life enhancing charity is fundamental to the wellbeing of 40,000 spinal injuries patients in the UK. Premier Club (clubprem.com) which is very much a people/ family orientated programme would encourage the public to visit www.aspire.org.uk to find out more about this exceptional charity and lend their support.

Premier Club (clubprem.com) reiterates that this charity is not government funded despite the phenomenal work that they do. Aspire is dependent on the generosity of the public through the donations that they make.

Premier Club (clubprem.com) recommends that members of the public, who wish to do so, looks into the charity’s advocated ways of giving donations http://www.aspire.org.uk/supportingus

Premier Club (clubprem.com) has highlighted a few: members of the public could fund raise through schools and clubs. Hosting events such as sponsored races and marathons. One could also take part in Aspire events. There is always personal giving if races and marathon do not appeal. Businesses can also get involved as corporate fund raising is also encouraged alongside trust donations.

Aspire also host a weather lottery where there is a daily prize of £10,000 to be won. The tickets cost £1 with 30pence of that £1 going directly to Aspire and the causes they support. http://www.aspire.org.uk/supportingus/WeatherLottery.aspx

Premier Club (clubprem.com) would encourage the public to support Aspire so that the may continue to give people suffering from spinal cord damage the aid and guidance they need.
