June 24, 2007 - PRLog -- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Los Angeles, CA-June 25, 2007-The LA Weekly stated, “Kraak & Smaak make some of the most intoxicating dance-music sounds we’ve heard lately. Funky textures, exotic melodies and bass-heavy thumpin’ that won’t quit, all with soulful shellac that shines.” That could not have explained the new release The Remix Sessions any better.

Mark Kneppers, Oscar De Jong and Wim Plug, aka, Kraak & Smaak released their debut CD, Boogie Angst, in 2006 on Quango Music Group, to critical acclaim and more importantly to the delight of their legions of fans worldwide. The recently released The Remix Sessions features hard-to-find tracks, many of which were only released on vinyl, now assembled in this electronic dance chill out showcase of remixes from such renowned artists as Jamiroquai, Bitter:Sweet, Dorfmeister vs. MDLA, Mark Rae and Skeewiff.

Heralded as “One of the 20 dance acts you must see live” by International DJ Magazine (side by side with dance music giants, The Chemical Brothers), Kraak & Smaak “play a tight, dance floor-friendly blend of house, breaks, funk and soul.  They’re guaranteed to get any party started.”  In March 2007, Kraak & Smaak brought their fire-starting dance party to SXSW in Austin, WMC in Miami and played an in demand shows to eager fans in New York, London, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco and at the Coachella Festival in Indio in April 2007.

The Remix Sessions highlights the varied musical talents of Kraak & Smaak as they take their crackling energy and infuse classic jams with their signature style.  From banging dance floor " Mimezine – Can't Get Enough," to funky, mid-tempo "Jamiroquai – Electric Mistress" to eerie, "Skeewiff – Man of Constant Sorrow,” Kraak & Smaak reveal their astounding vision for the possibilities of electronic and beyond in the new millennium.
