Free Music Workshops at Cloverdale Arts Alliance

CLOVERDALE, Calif. - Jan. 5, 2024 - PRLog -- Ancient Future leader Matthew Montfort is offering a series of free introductory in person music workshops on Wednesdays at the Cloverdale Arts Alliance in Northern Sonoma County. For those not in Northern California, a separate set of free workshops will be held online.

An inspiring music instructor who helps students of all levels and ages learn whatever style they desire, Montfort is on the 100 Greatest Acoustic Guitarists list at DigitalDreamDoor.com along with luminaries like Michael Hedges and Merle Travis. Montfort wrote the rhythm training manual 'Ancient Traditions – Future Possibilities,' which is used at prestigious schools such as Berklee College of Music.

The free workshops start on February 21, 2024, at 7 PM with the 'Beginning Guitar' workshop. February 28 features two workshops for intermediate and advanced students: 'Music Theory on the Fretboard' at 7 PM, and 'Rise Above Reliance on TAB: Learn to Read Music by Studying Classical Guitar Technique' at 7:45 PM. Featured on March 6, 2024, at 7 PM is 'Got Rhythm? Get the Beats of Africa, Bali, and India', an entertaining yet educational rhythm workshop for all music lovers.
